Short Courses During COVID-19

Brisbane College is excited to announce we will be offering short term courses during the COVID-19 period for domestic and international students.  

These will be online courses which have a duration of 8-20 Weeks.

Do you want to update your qualifications to prepare for further study in Australia? We are offering Diploma and Certificate qualifications in Accounting, Animal Technology, Business, Management, Community Services, Hospitality and TESOL.

If you complete one of these courses, it will improve your application for a Student Visa and Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirements. Veterinary Nursing Courses

We are excited to announce that we now offer Certificate IV and Diploma courses in Veterinary Nursing!

We are privileged to have Dr. Sandra Ann Baxendell continue at Brisbane College of Australia as the Veterinary Nursing and Animal Technology trainer with over 30 years of knowledge-based management work in the animal industry.

 

TESOL Courses

We now offer a face-to-face accelerated version of the Certificate IV in TESOL which can be completed in 10 weeks!

Study Certificate IV or Diploma of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Brisbane College.

Choose from one of our highly interactive theory and prac face-to-face classes or study a self-paced course online.

097926G / FNS40217 Certificate IV In Accounting & Bookkeeping  

This qualification is aimed those seeking to build on their Certificate III qualification and experience and gain an accounting support role involving: business activity statements, operational reporting, non-complex management reports, maintaining inventory records, small office management and supervising the operation of computer-based financial systems.

Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping, students may continue on to further study such as the Diploma of Accounting or gain employment in an accounts support role performing duties such as: business activity statements, operational reporting, non-complex management reports, maintaining inventory records, small office management and supervising the operation of computer-based financial systems.

The course consists of 13 units of competency.

Entry Requirement:

  • Domestic Students: High school certificate or copy of highest level of qualification
  • International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and high school certificate

Duration: 45 weeks

097925G / FNS50217 Diploma Of Accounting 

This qualification is aimed those seeking to build on their Certificate IV qualification and experience and gain an accounting assistant role involving: introducing and maintaining accounting systems, maintaining internal control systems, preparing tax returns and financial statements, reporting and developing business plans.

After completing the Diploma of Accounting students may gain employment as an assistant accountant or accounting employee performing duties such as: preparing tax returns, maintaining accounting and internal control systems, preparing financial statements, managing small teams and developing business plans.  Students may choose to go onto further study such as the Advanced Diploma of Accounting or gain credit towards a university degree such as Bachelor of Accounting.

The course consists of 11 units of competency and includes the FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set.

Entry Requirement:

  • Domestic Students: High school certificate or copy of highest level of qualification and FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set OR Certificate IV in Accounting OR Certificate IV in Bookkeeping
  • International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and high school certificate and FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set OR Certificate IV in Accounting OR Certificate IV in Bookkeeping

Duration: 52 weeks

                  78 weeks (incl Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping) 

097924J / FNS60217 Advanced Diploma of Accounting 

This qualification is designed to reflect the role of individuals working in accounting and seeking professional identification. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Diploma of Accounting, students may gain employment in a range of accounting roles such as: taxation management, financial management, bookkeeping and accounts payable and receivable. Students may also choose to go on to further study such as a Bachelor of Accounting.

The course consists of 14 units of competency such as governance activities, financial services for a range of tasks and functions, using statistics and data in the financial industry, preparing tax returns and analysing account information.

The course consists of 14 units of competency.

Entry Requirement:

  • Domestic Students: High school certificate or copy of highest level of qualification and Diploma of Accounting
  • International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and Diploma of Accounting

Duration: 52 weeks 

                 2 years (incl Diploma of Accounting)
