Short Courses During COVID-19

Brisbane College is excited to announce we will be offering short term courses during the COVID-19 period for domestic and international students.  

These will be online courses which have a duration of 8-20 Weeks.

Do you want to update your qualifications to prepare for further study in Australia? We are offering Diploma and Certificate qualifications in Accounting, Animal Technology, Business, Management, Community Services, Hospitality and TESOL.

If you complete one of these courses, it will improve your application for a Student Visa and Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirements. It is an opportunity to learn and improve skills ready for employment or further study. Even better, our qualifications are nationally and internationally recognised!

Veterinary Nursing Courses

We are excited to announce that we now offer Certificate IV and Diploma courses in Veterinary Nursing!

We are privileged to have Dr. Sandra Ann Baxendell continue at Brisbane College of Australia as the Veterinary Nursing and Animal Technology trainer with over 30 years of knowledge-based management work in the animal industry.

 

TESOL Courses

We now offer a face-to-face accelerated version of the Certificate IV in TESOL which can be completed in 10 weeks!

Study Certificate IV or Diploma of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Brisbane College.

Choose from one of our highly interactive theory and prac face-to-face classes or study a self-paced course online.

080661M / CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education And Care

This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

Successful completion of this qualification may lead to further study such as the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or employment in the child care sector as a Child Care Assistant, Family Day Carer, Nanny, Out of School Hours Care Assistant, Recreation Assistant Teacher Aide, Kindergarten Assistant or Preschool Assistant.

The course consists of 18 units of competency.

Entry Requirements:

  • Domestic Students: None
  • International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and high school certificate

Duration: 52 weeks

Work Placement: 120 hours work placement is required to fullfil the requirements for this course.

080662K / CHC50113 Diploma Of Early Childhood Education And Care

This qualification was previously called the Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care).
All of our Early Childhood Education and Care Courses are part of the Australian Qualifications Framework and nationally recognised training. This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

After completing the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, students may gain employment as a Group Leader, Team Leader, Qualified Child Care Worker, Program Leader, Kindergarten or Preschool Assistant, Primary School Teacher Aide, Service Manager or Centre Director in a child care facility, or may choose to go onto further study such as the Advanced diploma of Children’s Services or gain credit towards a university degree such as Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).

This course consists of 28 units of competency.

Entry Requirement:

  • Domestic Students:  High school certificate or copy of highest level of qualification
  • International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and high school certificate

Duration: 52 weeks or 2 years

                 2 years (incl Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care)

                 3 years (incl Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management)

Work Placement: 240 hours work placement is required to fullfil the requirements for this course.
